Hey, I'm Harrison.
I’ve always found it strange to write about myself. I guess I’ll fill this in more a bit later.
For now, just know this: I’ve been drawing all my life, started graphic designing professionally in high school, and have always been fueled by my connection to the outdoors. Nature inspires my every brushstroke and line. I believe we need to practice sustainability in everything we do, which is why I use the backs of my paper, a refillable pen, and watercolor or color pencil instead of plastic acrylics. I also love digital art, though I don’t share much of it.
Growing up traveling for months each year and living with different families in places like Honduras and Bolivia, I gained glimpses into the various lives/cultures, and gained a deep appreciation for the beautiful differences that make us all uniquely human. My hippy parents also instilled in me the importance of honoring the alignment of our planet celebrating equinoxes, solstices, sunrises, and sunsets was a significant part of our family.
Ultimately, knowing that all is temporary, I believe honoring the planet is paramount. I do this by doodling on the beach and drawing in the snow, appreciating the ephemeral nature of my lines.
These experiences—travel, an alternative upbringing, and a passion for protecting the environment—shape who I am and influence my art.
